A man who was in a relationship and is trying to get the girl back as he still loves her. 
What is expected in the video?


Some kind of struggle to get her back, potentially getting the girl back at the end.

At the end, the man steps in front of a train as he cant get the girl back.

A man trying to get his previous girlfriend back. .

Man wanting the girl back- may seen to be stereotypical and also stereotypical.

The star is see to be dressed very smart like a celeb. However the suit looks scruffy as he pulls piano further.

A variety of camera angle such as mid shots, long shots, closeups etc. These are used to show the mans emotions and also the create an overall love loss effect. the closeup is used effectively to see his specific facial expression whilst pulling the piano.

Yes, the camera angles used tracks the main character and also follows him through the streets of Los Angeles.

Throughout the music video, there are vast amount quick cuts with fast paced editing to go with the rhythm of the song. However when the song slows down, so do the cuts.

There is a variety of different target audience ranges as a love loss can happen to any individual.

All Bruno Mars record companies Universal Motown, Atlantic and Elektra all are associated with him, however these are not seen or promoted within the video.
What is the brand image of the star is sold? How is the star marketed and promoted?


The main character/ artist is shown throughout the music video giving him and huge amount of screen time. this means that the artist being promoted through his own image rather than portraying a separate persona.

How will this help me with my music video?
This analysis of professional music video will help me as it first will aid me in coming up with ideas for my own music video as well as seeing what needs to be included to produce n effect music video.
