The main thing that makes a student music good is making it look like a professional one. For instance, when shooting the video, you need to find locations that could appear in professional music videos. 



On the other hand, however, you shouldn't be too unrealistic with how the video will turn out - don't plan to attempt things that would be too difficult to complete in the time allotted, for example.

Key elements that makes a good music video; 

Planning- Planning is key to make a successful student film as it helps to sequence the video and for the students making the video to know where they are at with the video. If it comes to a point where you have no idea about how to make it original, don't do the video. By improvising the video rather than planning what’s next, the video could look unprofessional and could ruin the whole music video. If you are completely prepared with a plan and concept for a music video, it will make the whole music video look good and will be easier to make. 

Wide range of shots- When filming a music video, it is best to film a wide range of shots while filming otherwise you'll end up repeating the same shots again and again, leading to the film being a boring. when filming, shoot plenty of material at different angles, so that when it comes to editing there are many different shots to pick from. It's better to have too much footage than too little, as shots you have filmed can be deleted. 

Locations- When filming, choosing a variety of locations and also the right locations allows a music video to be more visually pleasing and doesn't make the video boring and the audience being disinterested.   

Innovate- Whatever a music video is about or the budget that the idea has, there’s always a need to give the audience something they haven’t seen before. By creating something that hasn't been done before, it makes the overall idea memorable to an audience. This would make a good music video as the idea wouldn't have before, so people are more likely to enjoy the video and also like it more than a copied version of another music video. 

How this will help me when making my music video;

When it comes to making my music video, this will help me as I can include these key aspects to my video, to make it look professional and also attract my target audience. If I wasn't to include these things. the video, I won’t be able to be the best it could be if I was to include and use them.
